some of the world’s leading experts, we are able to deliver
training courses which satisfy the most demanding and sophisticated

Courses are limited to a maximum of 25 which ensures each student
receives individual attention and derives maximum benefit. A
full set of course notes is supplied to each student.

for non PR People
Many companies cannot justify employing full-time PR people
and often the PR function is given to the sales team, business
development executives or the boss’s PA. And whilst they are
probably very capable people, to be truly effective, PR requires
careful planning and execution.This two-day course delivers
practical skills and first-hand knowledge equipping you with
the PR tools you need to add value to your business.
Freight
Derivatives & Shipping Risk Management
Held in conjunction with the Baltic Exchange, this two day course
covers the use of derivatives for freight risk management; hedging
bunker risk; dealing with ship price fluctuations; managing
credit, foreign exchange and interest rate risk; measuring and
comparing the effectiveness of instruments.
Advanced
Freight Modelling & Trading
Delivered by Dr Nikos Nomikos and Dr Amir Alizadeh of Cass Business
School and run in conjunction with the Baltic Exchange, this
advanced two day module focuses on modelling freight rate dynamics
and pricing options on freight. It discusses issues which are
relevant to shipping market practitioners such as constructing
forward curves on freight, modelling freight rate volatility
as well as hedging and trading strategies using freight options.
Practical Maritime Economics
This unique two day course provides participants with an
in depth overview of the dry, tanker, gas and container markets
and advises the potential investor how to analyse his investment
decision. We look at the sources of capital available, drivers
in the main markets, taxation and operational costs. The course
is focused on providing practical answers to investing in this
diverse industry.
